Play Title OER Office Hours: Queries, Support, & Stories
Play URL
from OER Champion Playbook
https://lumenlearning.com/page/oer-office-hours/
Use this play to:  Support faculty already using OER, answer queries about OER, and share stories about using OER & Open Pedagogy.
The players:
Faculty currently using OER, faculty who  attended workshops/panels and are interested in OER, faculty interested in OER who missed the workshops/panels but are interested in OER, Tim Haskell (Teaching Center Coordinator), Lisa Hoff (chair of the OER committee), members of the OER committee who have the time and willingness to spend an hour in the teaching center.  Food. Food is a major player, even if it’s just a lot of candy.
Running the play: Me. I’ll start it by contacting Tim & Lisa to set up a time to sit in the teaching center. I can create a flier in MS Publisher, send it to the committee for feedback, and then send it to all faculty/adjunct faculty. At first, I can set up an hour a week for myself to see how much traffic I can generate and make adjustments as necessary.

I will report to the OER committee any inquiries regarding the creation of new courses or of training needs.

Added ideas: I can send out an interest survey which will let people know OER training is still available, as is the stipend (I’ll check to make sure of that.)

I can ask one of my students who had an OER class with me (or canvass my colleagues for a student) who would be willing to do an hour with me in the teaching center. Or do a presentation.
