I like the PowerPoint slides on managing stress and making time. It has powerful pictures that can provoke good conversation. It also has very helpful and important health information on the negative consequences of being stressed. I especially like the information about real and perceived stress which I personally believe is a huge problem that many people have. This all comes together discussing the power of positivity. There is a video on making the most of one’s time which I think sends a powerful message. All of the information presented is very relevant to my class and I would be interested in using all or most of it, including the group exercise as time permits. Further, I like that I can adapt this to my own class needs and share it as long as I give proper credit and indicate if I make any changes. |

Negotiation and Conflict Management information, notes, readings, assignments and study materials are given which provide excellent information on these topics. There are role- playing activities as well which I know my students will be reluctant at first but then have fun with ultimately. Material shared is in PDF format as well as downloadable as a zip file. The most important lesson for purposes of my classes is how to deal with difficult situations, especially with racism as diversity is one of the other topics we cover. I like that I can adapt this to my own class needs and share it as long as I give proper credit, indicate if I make any changes and, if I do make changes, distribute my contributions under the same license. |

With Custom Permissions, I would be interested in using some of this material for my class as we cover financial management. I also like it because it’s obvious that one does not need to have a lot of prior knowledge in this area in order to understand and work with the material. There is a link for lessons and I especially like the Monthly Cash Flow Forecast exercise to use with my students as it really breaks down one’s cash in and cash out. It is also beneficial to students in teaching them the different types of accounts that exist for investment purposes. |

This will be a great resource that I can adapt as I see fit for my classes and share as long as I give credit, indicate if I make any changes and, if I do make changes, distribute my contributions under the same license. The material is quite suitable for freshman-level community college students and it has excellent tips for taking tests and studying including the importance of studying a little bit each day leading up to a test as opposed to cramming, and using the process of elimination trick on multiple choice exams when not confident about the answer, making and using flash cards, etc.. There is so much more that is spot on with what the students need as they begin their college journal and it’s easily accessible and viewable (clean, neat format) on the site. |

The presentation skills offered here are helpful and relevant to my students. I’m glad that I can use it and make changes to it as long as I give appropriate credit and indicate if changes are made to it; I just can’t distribute any material that I may modify. It gives a nice overview of presentation styles and types with definitions as well as the importance of knowing how to present well which I think students especially need to know. The tips that are provided are useful considering the few times they will have to present (plan, prepare, practice, present, etc.). It also provides links to other helpful information in terms of good presentation skills. |
